Hurry up, take cover! \u2026\u2026\u2026Phew \u2026 is everyone all right?<br>Thank goodness everyone is all right. \u6211\u6700\u4e0d\u559c\u6b61\u5730\u9707\u4e86\u3002 And that was a big<br>one!<br>But it still wasn&#8217;t as big as the 921 Earthquake.<br>Have you heard of the \u4e5d\u4e8c\u4e00\u5927\u5730\u9707? The 921 Earthquake was one of the biggest<br>earthquakes to ever hit Taiwan.<br>That earthquake happened on September 21, 1999.<br>That means it happened exactly twenty years ago. \u525b\u597d20\u5e74\u524d\u767c\u751f<br>It was a magnitude 7.3 earthquake, which means it was a very, very strong<br>earthquake!<br>It was was so strong that it knocked down power lines in Taiwan,<br>\u7136\u5f8c\u5168\u53f0\u7063\u5c31\u5927\u505c\u96fb! There was a blackout!<br>The blackout lasted a long time. There was no electricity for days.<br>\u6211\u5011\u904e\u4e86\u597d\u591a\u5929\u90fd\u6c92\u6709\u96fb\uff0c\u90fd\u505c\u96fb\u4e86During the day people could not turn on their<br>fans or air conditioners, so everyone was very sweaty under the hot sun.<br>\u665a\u4e0a\u6c92\u6709\u96fb\uff0c\u767d\u5929\u4e5f\u6c92\u8fa6\u6cd5\u958b\u96fb\u6247\u6216\u51b7\u6c23\uff0c\u5927\u5bb6\u90fd\u71b1\u5f97\u6c57\u6d41\u6d79\u80cc!<br>And at night, there was no electricity for lights, so everything was very<br>dark.<br>Sadly, more than two-thousand people were also killed in the earthquake.<br>And thousands of buildings were damaged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2026\u2026.Uh oh, aftershock!\u2026\u2026..<br>Everyone still ok?
